Let me tell you a brief story.

I always knew I wanted to be a writer, but as a child I looked up to those who could draw: Everything from extravagant scenes with detailed backgrounds to sketchy portraits on plain canvases (Especially the latter - my brain is wired to get the gist of things rather than the details). I used to say to myself, "Wow. If I could just draw something simple and beautiful like that, I would be happy."

I'm not the most amazing artist. But I never wanted to be. I've made it. And I am very happy.

Back on topic, I love writing! I love designing characters! I love telling stories with characters I don't have to draw over and over again unless I'm feeling especially inspired! And I certainly felt inspired this week. Over the past three days I have lined and colored thirty-five characters, with many more sketched (Heidi, Emmy +  all the future characters, several of whom are colored already).

So I doubt many of you have noticed, but I've been redesigning my PMDU Tumblr. If all goes as planned, these icons and the sils of the unrevealed should be in place by the end of the day, and the banner should be done Monday at the latest!

Just an ordinary day of hugging myself 'cuz I love myself a lot ~
